Golfing in January Here I Come
Posted on Oct 31, 2008 under tips | No CommentI am so excited! This morning there was more frost on the lawn than usual and that means just one thing. The winter is coming and golf season is right around the corner. That’s right I just said golf season. Oh, the glories of being a retired and a snowbird.
Last year after Christmas we went to Arizona and fell in love with a charming retirement community. We bought a winter home there and spent the cold months of January and February golfing to our hearts content. My drive off the tee wasn’t where I wanted it to be, so I spent the summer practicing my swing with a training club by Medicus. I really think the effort has paid off, but we’ll know for sure when we head back down at the end of December. I am so looking forward to it and I won’t even give a second thought to all of the poor golfers here searching for their orange balls in the snow.
